What is Giftcoin?

Giftcoin is a Blockchain and coin platform designed to address the problems of the charitable sector such as; charity fraud, ensuring funds are used for what they are assigned and also assist in fundraising for charitable purposes through innovative means at no cost incurred for transactions.

Giftcoin is the first of its kind, a new and innovative system that has been designed to revolutionize the way charity is done by bringing transparency levels that were previously made too far to increase the trust of donors.

Humanity has many values that pass through every human society such as; affection, empathy and virtue for fellow human beings. The ability to not turn a blind eye to others in need is power and may also be used as a weakness to deceive people. Trust is charity giving is an expensive commodity.

Giftcoin's vision is to create a world where donors can have full trust and confidence that they contribute to real goals and the funds they contribute will lead to the stated goals. The world in which the beneficiaries actually receive the intended aid and the funds are not misused along the way.

Giftcoin consists of blockchains, coins, and decentralized applications, together creating an ecosystem where donors, charitable organizations, and beneficiaries are interconnected openly and clearly.

Why Giftcoin Needed?
No one likes to be considered stupid or cheated and many people today donate to charitable purposes not because they have full confidence that their donations are used for the right purpose, but because they can not just stand and do nothing. On the other hand the people who these funds have been assigned to help get less than allocated funds or none at all and basically have no evidence to prove their case.

What does this mean? This means that with transparency and process tracking, there is room for the growth of donated funds for charitable purposes, meaning more lives are touched, more children getting education, better health care for disadvantaged people and better provision those who are victims of disaster or war.

There is a popular saying; "All fingers are not the same" Meaning with natural design, some people will always be more special than others, but people do not have to worry they will play when they try to help others.

Giftcoin creates a much needed trust and openness in the giving process.

In the next section of this series I will discuss how the Giftcoin platform works to provide solutions to the above mentioned problems and more.
